Sir,

I have the honour to enclose herewith copies of

correspondence between bu Comissioner for Foreig

Affaire and myself relative to the conduct of the local

police in respect of a robbery in August last from the

house of Kr. Teo Yæe twee, a british subject.

the early morning of august 8, kr. Teu zee Svee's house

was raided by a gang of robbers, mo ransacked the build-

ing and stole articles value. at some 2,400. isy when

the police appeared on the 8úene, wie robbery nad decay-

ed and the police arrested Teo lee wee himself and all

his servante and led them, bound like criminals to the

police station, where Teo was further insulted by having

his feet cuained together. he was not released to 3.0

p.m.
